Democracy thrives when citizens are actively engaged in their communities, listening to one another, learning about issues, and working for positive change. September 7, 2024 was a spectacular day for Democracy. Thanks to our featured speakers: State Representatives Betsy and John Roth, Leelanau County Clerk Michele, Christina Schlitt of the League of Women Voters Grand Traverse Area, and John Coleman of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association.
A CELEBRATION OF DEMOCRACY was presented by Traverse Indivisible, Leelanau Indivisible, Addiction Treatment Services, the Michigan League of Conservation Voters, and Equality Michigan in cooperation with dozens of local nonprofit groups.
